Lower quality = smaller files. 75–85 looks great for listing photos.

JPEG and WebP shrink photos dramatically — lower the quality or the dimensions. PNG is lossless and best for logos and graphics with transparency; for PNG, size savings come from resizing only. Converting strips location data embedded in the original photo. Images larger than 8000 px on any side are capped at 8000 px to keep the browser stable. For multi-page TIFFs, the first page is used.
